BFO is a newsletter service aimed at bringing together the feminist community and strengthening the collective power of the feminist movement in our home city of Brisbane, Australia.

Feminism is a political and philosophical movement which believes in equality between the sexes, the existence of patriarchy and the need for social, political and economic change in the status of women.
Brisbane has a rich feminist history and a committed feminist present. You are invited to subscribe to BFO and become a part of the growing network of people who make up Brisbane feminism.
We believe, like any political and philosophical movement, it is made up of a continuum of ideologies that give it its breadth and depth and fuel its ongoing discourse. WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO JOIN US.
For those who live in Brisbane, you can find out about conferences, forums, workshops, rallies, performances, fundraisers and celebrations that fill our city each month. You can also read about international feminist news.
