You are invited to join the NFAW campaign to introduce paid maternity/parental leave in Australia, supporting the right of women not to have to work when they have a new baby.
NFAW commissioned opinion polling shows that more than three quarters of adult Australians favour paid maternity leave being available, and a similar proportion of those in favour support financing mixtures other than wholly taxpayer funded.
Australia now has one of the poorest maternity/parental leave systems in the world. For many years, Australia has been one of only two OECD countries without a national paid maternity leave scheme.
