blue milk (feminist motherhood blog)

"Here is my birth story, written before time could ease its reality. Its misery surprises me. I guess some of the pain has dulled over time because while I remember it badly I am shocked to read the grimness of it all here. I don’t want to re-write it, I promised myself I would tell the truth about birth to other women, my truth anyway."

bitchcakes zine ...

"The zine "Bitchcakes" is created and edited, by me - a girl called dirtywings from the Gold Coast, Australia. Don't let the name fool you. This zine is about having your cake and eating it too. It's about being proud to be a girl and unafraid to be strong, to be what society may call a "bitch" sometimes. It's about creating a dialogue with other girls about what is important to you. It will be dealing with just about any topic under the sun but always with a firm focus on being something for girls & by girls. I write a lot of the content myself, but I really want it to be a collaborative project, so submit if you are interested. You don't have to be from the Gold Coast or even Australia to write for "Bitchcakes"."

Girls' World

"Girl's World is a lavishly funded 427-person operation consisting chiefly of Gulf War special forces veterans and ex-ASIO operatives, being run out of the luxurious mansion of the Girl's World Head Quarters, all under the control of a secretive and mysterious benefactor we only know as "Dr. Chong." This austere web site, the low production values, my ragged clothes, the fact that our television series will probably go to air on community television… these are things we do deliberately to keep in touch with you, the common woman."

kentlynville

"Maybe they were drunk . . . maybe they were delinquents . . . maybe their choice of protest wasn’t the best way to ‘win hearts and minds’ . . . but maybe they’re the last feminists left in Australia with the guts to critique the new Aussie secular religion of Anzac Day."

Wo! Magazine

Wo! Magazine is an online Australian feminist magazine. AND IT'S FREE - HERE. Check it out. Wo! is a response and alternative to the gossip, celebrity-focussed, does-he-love-me, weight-obsessed drivel that currently fills women's magazines in Australia. It is an attempt to provide interesting, timely and amusing content that isn't focused on commercial mass culture and giving women hang ups about their bodies and sexuality. Whilst, obviously being unapologetically feminist Wo! strikes a balance between entertaining and arresting. It is a good read, a magazine filled with good writing and journalism created by women. If you have anything you would like to see published in Wo! send to: editor@wo-magazine.com

feminist blogs

Feminist Blogs is a community of weblogs by self-identified feminists, women’s liberationists, womanists, and pro-feminist men. We use free software to syndicate our webblogs, in order to raise awareness, bring together feminist voices, and promote cross-linking and discussion between feminist bloggers.

feminist web ring

A ring for pro-choice feminists who want to change the world. Due to the high volume of commercial sites received upon ring reactivation, I am not accepting sites that simply exist to promote a product, including those targeted to women.

another feminist web ring

The Estrogen Webring is a webring for women of all shapes, colors and sizes. Come and celebrate all the wonderful things about women. If you are a woman and have a web page, you are welcome to join.

feministing

Young women are rarely given the opportunity to speak on their own behalf on issues that affect their lives and futures. Feministing provides a platform for us to comment, analyze and influence.

What is feminism? . What do feminists want? . Does feminism matter? . Can men be feminists? . What can feminism do for me? . What can I do for feminism? . And many more (eventually)

http://daddy-dialectic.blogspot.com/index.html

Daddy Dialectic started as Jeremy's journal of his experience as a stay-at-home dad. Today Daddy Dialectic is a group blog by and about dads who embrace care giving and egalitarian relationships, a definition of fatherhood that we believe is more in tune with the landscape of 21st Century America.

http://www.equallysharedparenting.com/blogger.html

We have practised equally shared parenting since M’s birth. In fact, we made mention of our dreams to equally share on our first date! At home, we both tackle chores – sometimes in a planned manner (e.g., for laundry, Marc does ‘darks’ and Amy does ‘whites’), sometimes according to who is available (e.g., dinner is the responsibility of whoever is home with the kids), and sometimes simply by who notices something needs to be done first. We each have our favorite tasks, often right down traditional gender lines such as lawnmowing for Marc and birthday party planning for Amy, but we can pinch-hit for each other on almost any front.
